MS project

I am working on MS Project 2007, and when I link tasks they do not spread out over the gantt chart, but rather remain all starting on the same day. I have gone through putting in working times, etc, as I know there is a bug in 2007 which requires this. WHAT am I doing wrong?

However, have you assigned the Start precedent of each following task to the End of the previous task?
