MS Project Workgroup

I'm trying to set up Workgroup option in MS Project 2000. We did try Project Central on a pilot basis, but the network didnt really like it, so I'm trying the Workgroup e-mail functionality. All seems well once the users have installed wgsetup.exe etc. I send the project team request for updates on their tasks - and well, they submit their updates back to me, and project is updated. All fine except - project tasks duration and start end dates all change - very frustrating! Anyone else have some odd things happening with it? Or am I doing something wrong?

Any help apprecitated.

Hello Couttsy,
If you can post an email address I'll send you a copy of the Workgroup Features section of Project 98 it is very detailed in its examples of how to use the Workgroup features. Hopefully it may have the solution to your problem.

Workgroup features have not changed from Project 98 to Project 2000 if you are wondering.

Pay close attention to Appendix A as it details setting up DSN on both the Server and Client machines.
