MS Project Pro 2013 issue with copy and pasting of tasks

Hi all,

Several users of Project Pro 2013 are having issues with copy and pasting tasks. When a person highlights either one or multiple tasks via the task ID number and either uses the copy button, right clicks and presses copy, or uses the ctrl + c shortcut and then attempts to paste those tasks into a new task line, nothing happens. I have tried using new files with either Project connected to or disconnected from our server. We have done these operations with 2010 without issue.

What is going on? Is this a know issue, and if so what is the fix?

Here is the system and software specs:

Project Pro 2013
15.0.4420.1017
32 Bit

Computer

Windows 7 Pro Service Pack 1
64 bit processor

Sorry, Mike I cannot reproduce. Do you have any cumulative updates installed to Project 2013? You mention server - Project server?

Hi Julie,

I hope all is well. I'm not to sure about the updates. Project 2013 was just installed a few weeks ago. I don't think that Project server is causing the issue.

Hi Mike,

I have all of the most recent updates installed to 2013 - and I cannot repro the issue. (I am also testing SP-1 which should be available soon.)

Here is the fix at this time. The recently installed MS Project 2013 did not have the updates. This should resolve the issue.

The cumulative updates are not installed automatically like the Service Packs - so until SP-1 is released, the updates have to be searched out and applied manually.
