Question

IF people are wanting to filter out milestones there is a filter already set up? What if i want to filter out certain high level and low level or other milestones in MS2000 what is the most effient way of doing this.

I suppose i could set up a column with certain letters against certain milestones and filter from that or is there another better way???

Please provide any advice

I presume "filter out" means "select on" (since that's the way the filters are set).

Click on Project | Filtered for | More filters ...

In the pop-up click on "new"/"edit"/"copy" to create a new filter, change an existing one or create one based on an existing one. Clicking on one of those three buttons will open a new popup titled "Filter Definition".

You can save the filter so that it appears in the Project | Filtered for display (put a checkmark in the "Show in menu" box in the Filter Definition popup) or set it so that you have to go into the "more filters..." display to see it (leave the box blank).

It's fairly straightforward stuff. Play around and when you have a question that you couldn't solve after trying several attempts then post it. But you'll learn much more by playing with filters than you will be asking for answers.
