Hi all
How can I access to MS SQL Server 7 database via MS Project 2000?
Any help or comment appreciated.

In your MS Project Help screen, do a search for SQL Server. I'm running v2002 and two of the three results returned showed me how to save to and read from SQL Server. Neil Konitzer

from MS Project 2000

<file> <save as>

click on <odbc>

Machine data source

<new>

click on system data source

select SQL Server, which is the bottom of the list of options.

It will ask you to fill in:
a. Name of Data Source
b. Description of Data Source
c. Then it will ask you to select which SQL Server via pulldown menu

accept the defaults through the rest and you knopw it worked when you click test data and it tells you it was successful. You only need to set this up once--thereafter, you select it as a machine data source {it will now be on the list}

The helps in both SQL Server and MS Project 2000 are very useful in getting through the process.
