I would like to consider using macros in Project 2007 but all of the Macro menu items are grayed out. I tried going to Tools -> Options -> Security tab and clicked on the Macro Security button but nothing comes up.

I have Googled this for a few hours now and have come up with nothing.

How can I get the macro button to be enabled?

Thanks in Advance,
Jim

It's not clear to me what you mean.

What happens when you press Alt+F8?

What happens when you click on Tools > Macro > Macros?

Going to Tools > Macro > Macros, the Macros menue item is grayed out and I could not click on it. Also, pressing Alt+F8 nothing would happen.

Yesterday, I tried re-running the setup to see if VBA was installed and it was. So, I ran a repair but it was no help. All the items under Tools > Macro were still grayed out. I then ran the Diagnostic under the Help menu. Again, nothing. Finally, I uninstalled and re-installed and that did the trick. I can now get to VBA and record and run macros. So this one is solved.

I really hate it when uninstall-reinstall is the answer that works ... it's just so unsatisfying. Glad you got it to work for you.
