MS Project 2000 installation problem

My IT people have tried to install a German edition of MS Project 2000 on my Windows 2000 PC, which is set up to operate in English. The installation went fine - no error messages - but the program will not startup. Don't know if this is related to the language or something else.

Does anybody have any ideas.
