I've got a laptop with an Ethernet 10/100 port and also a Linksys Wireless-G card. If I'm using the Linksys card, when I go into IE6 I can't see the internet, when I go into MS Outlook I can't access my mail. When I'm actually plugged into the Ethernet cable everything works Okay.

I don't think this is actually a network thing because I can ping the router (both by name and by IP address) and see the other mapped drives on the network using Windows Explorer but I just thought I would try it here and see if anyone knew a solution.

I tried google by name and also by IP address but I got a timeout when using the wireless card. It worked Okay (average 55ms) when I was using the Ethernet connection.

It's amazing how you can look at something so many times and not see the obvious! I'd got the default gateway IP address wrong but I didn't notice it until I did a cut/paste of ipconfig!! I've changed it and it's now working fine - I'm using it right now!

Thanks Bob
