Hello All,

Not sure where else to look for getting this resolved; so hope to get some answers at this site...

MS Outlook is consistently prompting for a password despite the fact that all security settings to prompt for a password and authenticate have been removed from MS Outlooks options.

When outlook launches for the user she is prompted to enter it, after entering her password 5+ times, she can finally log in to the Exchange Server. There have been times when she would have to enter her password 10+ times...even though its setup to not require for one...I am confused by this...it seems that its caching the setting someplace.

Things I have tried:

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall MS Outlook and still the same thing...

I have disjoined her from the domain and rejoined her and still nothing

I reset her workstation account in Active Directory...nothing

Changed her password in Active Directory nothing...

Changed her password via the security log-ing nothing...

Uninstalled and re-installed the TCP/IP stack nothing...

Added her to the administrators group nothing...

Now, if I log in as administrator and launch MS Outlook I don't have this problem...

Not sure what else to try, can someone please help me with this? Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated...

Thank you, and looking forward to your responses

Change the name of her profile and let her log in and try it.

The answer has always been 42

Try clearing out any saved passwords on her machine. Go to Control Panel and choose User Accounts (while logged on as her) and then choose Advanced. Then click on Manage Passwords and clear those out. Try Outlook again. Just a possible solution, not guaranteed.

Well, just to update my problem with this, first I would like to thank you for inputs.

The problem resided with TCP/IP protocol stack being corrutped, go figure...after uninstalling and reinstalling TCP/IP it works but for a very short time.

I am rebuilding the OS on this pc.

Thank You
George
