I upgraded from Office 97 to Office 2000 successfully - eveything worked. A couple of weeks later, I loaded some kind of "demo CD" from the "American Mfg Assoc" (?) which purported to offer looks at all kinds of manufacturing packages.
The CD was loading for over an hour throwing software and DLL's all over the place before I finally cancelled it.
It loaded MS Peer to Peer Web Services & tons of "stuff".
I can no longer access my Email from my phone connection but it works fine when I am in the office hooked up locally.
When I try to open a piece of mail...it will lock up for 15 - 20 minutes and then issue a Message Box "Problem with network - cannot contact MS Exchange Server.
The only way out is to blow away Outlook via Task Manager.
I reloaded Office 2000 twice(!)
Same problem.
Note that I do use synchronized folders.
Any ideas how to get remote Email working again?
PS: Wiping my laptop and starting over is not really an option...tons of custom stuff, software setups, etc.
