I have an email address set up for requests for a job application form so i want to be able to set up an automatic reply to all emails to that address that has a breif thank you for the enquiry and an attached file that is the standard application form
Anyone know how i can do this pleae ???
Help most gratefully received :)

Create a rule for emails where your email address is in the To or CC or BCC filed, then on the next step add a rule to reply with Template.

before doing this you will have to define the template, something bland along the lines of Dear Applicant etc etc.. you should also add any attachments to this template before saving.

Making a template: create a normal email with a header, text and any attachments, then under the file menu select "Save as", select file type "template", and then save in a suitable location.

Good luck.. you can of course futher define by looking for certain keywords in the header, that way not EVERYBODY that emails you will receive an email (but this way should be fine if you have a unqiue account just for the job).

[red]Striker : I can't tell you that? It's classified.[/red]

To the first part of your question, you can create a rule in OL:Tools > Rules and Alerts > new rule... > I would start from a blank rule > After message arrives > sent to people or DL (you can choose others)...etc.

The next part you decide whether you want the "thank you" reply be a server action(investigate server load) or a local action(OL app must be running, and you need to make a reply template .oft; you might as well use OOF).

As for the app. form, how about you put a link to a sftp site from which they can download the file.

Anyone else have any ideas for the app. form?
