I had an HP Notebook with Office 2007 installed for a couple of years. The motherboard failed on the laptop but the Hard drive is in good shape. I need to pull the last 2 months of e-mails from the pst file on that harddrive into Outlook on my new laptop but I'm not sure how to do that. I've had the new laptop for 2 weeks and don't want to lose the new e-mails I've received. I just want to import from the old pst file but I'm not sure how. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have the old pst file available on youtr new laptop, you can just open it in Outlook ...

File > Open > Outlook Data File
Go select your pst
It will be identified as "Personal Folders" in your Mail Folders list but will be below your main, new, one.
Copy whatever you will from it to your new file.

Enjoy,
Tony

I finally figured out what I was doing wrong and was able to open it. The old pst file is still on the hard drive out of my laptop. I just put it into an external case and plug it in using USB 2.0.

Thanks for the response
