This is an issue that just came up which I've no clue as to whether there is a solution or not.
First, we are using Outlook 2003 in a corporate environment on an Outlook 2003 Exchange Server (at least, I believe it is a 2003 server).
Here is the situation. One user has shared her contacts with 2 others, so they can use the same contact list - easier for keeping the "team" up to date on current contact information.
Now, in that group, one person wanted to add that address book so that they could just type in a person's name in their new email messages, and have Outlook input the email address.
I tried to walk the person through adding that address book, and all, but from what we can see, there is no option for setting it up so that it shows in the "Show Names from the" list in the Address Book view.
Is there a way (on the server) or on the sharer or sharee's computer to correct this, so that the contact group will show in the "show names from the" list?
Another note: the contacts being shared are one person's "My Contacts" list.
And yet one more note: If the person who is accessing the shared contacts right-clicks on their own "contacts" item, and chooses properties, they have 8 tabs to choose from; but with the shared contacts, only 5.
I tried sharing my contacts, and then accessing them from the other user's computer, and I opened it up every possible way, yet it gave the same results.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
