ms outlook 2000 shows notification but not message 2

Hello all,

I'm running ms outlook 2000 on xp pro.

The problem I have is that I get a notification saying that I have a new email message, also the new messages number is added to the inbox counter - Inbox (xxx), but the messages don't show.

Any idea folks,
