My Microsoft optical mouse (wired, USB to PS/2 adapter) seems to forget how to run the "back" button every day. Normal left, right buttons and scroll wheel keep working.

If I unplug the mouse, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in, it works again. I'm guessing it's a hardware failure, but without another substitute mouse to test, am not sure.

Any comments? Thanks.

Is this wireless?? because it sounds like failing batteries if it is.
