I have a client who, when logged in, has Word lock up on him. When he opens Word, it freezes for approx 10-15 seconds adn then it is ready to go. Once he starts typing, it will continue to lock up sporadically.

When I was logged in as Administrator, it seemed to work just fine. Can anyone give me an idea as to why this would be? I doubt that Office is in anyway tied in with his user profile. I just want to get this working!

Thanks,
Don

Are there any add-ins loaded?
Does his profile open up any other programs yours doesn't?
I would run a virus checker & spyware checker over the machine, just in case.

Make sure the user has a valid (and accessible) default printer set. Word interrogates the printer driver on startup as it needs the printer's parameters to work out page layouts correctly.
