MS Office 2000 not working

Hi

I've used Wise for Windows to package Microsoft Office 2000 Premium SR-1 into a single MSI.

The original installation used an MSI (the well-known data1.msi), and I customised it into a single MSI.

When my MSI has executed, nothing works. When I try to run an office application like Word, it doesn't do anything.

Any ideas why? I know that it's not recommended that an MSI be re-packaged as another MSI, but I have managed to get round this for other applications such as Visio 2000.

Any help most appreciated

The firts rule about repackaging is that you never repackage a MSI file it self.
Use the office recource kit or Wise to create a MST file.

You can customize the entire office suite with this utility. I should only take you a day or two at the most depending on how much customization you want. Its real easy to use and will be much quicker than using Wise.
