Hi All,
I bought a new laptop which was pre-loaded with Windows XP Home Edition. I already own a Office 2000 with me and am trying to load it and it never goes through.
Initially the installation seems to be going through fine, but at the end, it opens up a MS-DOS Window to execute from the Temp Folders a file called "OutSec.EXE" and it fails with error of "Program too big to fit into memory" ... and from here the problems start ... I get Error 1911 on various DLL files and ignoring and continuing further Error 1904 on various DLL's and further ignoring and proceeding, ultimately it loads (or tries to) multiple MS-DOS based windows and every where it gets the error of "Program too big to fit into memory" ...
Has anyone every tried loading MS-Office 2000 Professional on Windows XP Home Edition.
I tried repeating the installation and later repairing ... before and after installing Service Pack 1a available for Windows XP Home Edition.
Any suggestions/solutions from any of you ?
My gut feeling is that the problems relate to memory settings and internal Win XP features for DOS based operations is not fine with this version... but am not too sure...
Need help
Thanks,
TSR
