This is my first post here and a detailed question so please bare with me. We have CE8.5 installed on a server in all its glory. We have a ASP.NET application that is developed in house where we need to add integration into the CE8.5 install.
Because of the integration, we will not be using any of the csp stuff on enterprise. Basically, CE will be using CE primarily for the report instance versioning and job scheduling.
The webservice and .net components that comes with Visual Studio.Net doesn't come close to doing what we need. We need integration into numerous desktop plugins. We wrote code to interface into the COM components for Crystal.
Everything works great for a short while, but then we start getting error messages on the webserver (client to CE8.5) about DCOM and not being able to install plugin. I don't understand why it is trying to install plugins because I already have them on my machine. It works fine for a while then fails.
Anyone have any ideas or things I should look at?
