if I have many numerical fields in format #,##0.00 how can I ensure that they are all aligned under each other such that all decimal points are 1 under the other.

I guess it is to do with tab stops but cant find the winning solution.

Also, more difficult, if I have a system default setting called weeks_or_years which can equal Y or N, then using 2 mail merge fields from a database called Weeks and Amount i want to show the following figure.

If system default value = 'Y'
show the value of Amount
Else
If system default value = 'N'
show the value of (Weeks) * (Amount)

Thanks for your help

For the first question, set a decimal tab at the location that you want the decimal point. Then insert your merge field at that tab, and the decimals should line up.

To set a decimal tab, click Format-Tab, key in the location (inches, etc) and check the Decimal box.
