Hi,
We've got a pair of servers with two nic's each. One Nic in each server is plumbed into a Baystack 470 and has an IP in the same subnet as the rest of the network. The other nic in each server is inside a vlan hosted by a passport 8606 . The vlan has an IP in a tottally different subnet. The Nics in this vlan have an IP in this subnet and we've used MS load balancing manage to create a loadbalanced IP in this range.
A route has been added to the DG so that it routes traffic for this subnet to the passport hosting the vlan. We can ping either interface on each node ,and the cluster IP from anywhere on the network. We can see the test page on both servers if we access it via the vlan'd nodes IP
If we point our browser at the cluster IP , we only ever get one of the servers serve the page.
Is there something else we should do to the passport to help it along ? As far as i can see MS LB creates an identical mac address on the nlb'd interface, how does the passport cope with having two macs on different ports?
Thanks for reading this far
