System:
Windows: 2000 Professional SP3
Windows Text Driver: 4.00.6020.00
Crystal Reports 8.5 with all current fixes.
Type of text file: ASCII (.asc)
IMPORTANT:
This problem DID NOT occur when using WINDOWS NT 4.0. The problem only started when THE SAME Report Arquitecture was installed on a WINDOWS 2000 Professional SP3 System.
Problem:
1) When report is refreshed while on the design, the float numbers appear correctly BUT when openning the same report on the WEB, the same ASCII float numbers appear with extra zeros in decimal place.
Example:
1.80 appears as 1.80,00
2) The same number format problem occurs on the Group Tree when a number is used as a group.
Example:
1 appears as 1.00
1234 appears as 1.234
But on the report it appears correctly.
The only solutions found on the Internet for these problems were:
1) To force the format by inserting formulas on the report.
2) To modify the type on the ASCII file from float to char.
3) Tried changing System Settings but it didn't work.
There are fixes for this problem for the Oracle ODBC driver but for the Microsoft Text Driver, no fix was found for this.
DID ANYBODY FIND A FIX FOR THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM?
DOES ANYBODY HAVE A SOLUTION FOR THIS?
