Hi All,

We have an old application that apperently only works on Microsoft Java VM. I have managed to track down & download a version of MS VM (version 3810). Does anyone know if MS still does security patches for this? I heard they have extended the support date till 2007, but I'm curious if that includes security patches/fixes. We run XP SP2 on work stations. Thanks in advance.

This forum only covers questions relating to Sun Java. I suggest you try the Microsoft site.

AFAIK, 3810 is a secure and stable version. At least, it's the one I installed on my clients.

Anyway, until 31-12-200y Microsoft MUST offer security patches for new problems.

Refer to this: on the updates section for more information.

Just one thing, remeber that MSJVM is no longer distributed with OS, and if I remember correctly, updates from SP2 and so on uninstall it.

Cheers,
Dian

Dian,

Thanks! So far SP2 updates have not uninstalled it from the 10 client machines I have. I'm just hoping that they still send patches for it!
