MS Interdev Installation Problem???

After I installed MS Visual Studio 6.0, the Visual C++, Visual Basic run as well. I got a error message: Unable to load development environment DLL, when I tried to open InterDev.
Now, my computer environment is Window XP professional. I also installed MS Visual .NET.
I hope someone can help me to fix this problem.

I recently had this problem as well. First I did a re-install. When that didn't work I completely removed Visual Studio 6 and installed it again but to no end.

Then I stumbled upon a microsoft knowledge base article (248675) concerning this problem.

After following the instructions given in that article, Visual Interdev would start but behave in a very strange way. There were no toolbars or menus and the context menu in the solution explorer was odd (seemed to contain elements from Visual Studio.NET 2003 if I'm not mistaken).

At this point I installed service pack 5 for Visual Studio and voila! Visual Interdev has been running fine ever since.
