Yep, just got an email about that. I've been waiting for this to come around again so I can finish my MCSE.

Great news thanks!

I searched the net on Monday for any upcoming offers but couldn't find any so I booked my 70-290. I've just cancelled it and am going to re-book with the offer.....just in case!

Al :)

If I used my free test the last time they offered this deal, can I use another free test this time around?

brichr,

I suppose that Microsoft would be the final arbiter of their Free 2nd Shot offer, but my hunch is that you would be able to get your very own free retake.

All you'd need to do is to fail a qualifying exam within the period that they specify.

Perfect timing for my 70-290 attempt in a few months.

You can use the second shot free many times if needed.

You can use the 2nd shot a second time, if you pay a second time.

Well confused now!

If I fail an exam, but have booked it under the 2nd shot scheme, my retake is free. If I fail it again, I'll have to pay again for the 3rd attempt?

Also, I have to pay at least once for each exam when I initially book it?

Just checking...

The way I understand it is... You pay for a test. If you fail it you get a 2nd try free. If you pass it then your done. If you want to take another test. Use the code again to get a 2nd shot in case you fail and so on. If you fail on the free 2nd shot then you would have to pay as if it was the first time and get a 2nd free shot again. Basically a buy one get one free each time.

If you pass the first time and you have your 2nd free shot you can not use it for another test.

Has anyone had to retake an exam with this ? If so where there any problems? I ask, because I am getting ready to take the 218 soon and still have a few test time jitters.

I used it last time around. When you sign up for the exam you have to tell them that you want to use the second shot.

If you fail, when you call back to retake tell them that you took the exam using the second shot promotion. You may need to have the paperwork from the first time when you failed with you when you call.
