hi guys, i've a problem.
i would like read my exchange mails from a remote seat, for now i'vnt registered my domain name.
i can access to outlook web access from the machines of the domain (192.168.1.4/exchange) but i can't access from a remote machine using the ip of exchange server (example: 82.32.122.xxx/exchange) .
the configuration of my network is 2 client's a domain server with exchange 2003 and a router.
it's possible that the ip address is linked to router.
how can i do?

yes, infact if i try to insert my ip in internet browser example http:\\82.22.33.xxx
it show the web server of router.
how can i do?

I think you may have to point incoming port 80 traffic to the Exchange server. If your typing the IP address of 82.22.33.xx and it goes to the firewall web page, then it would seem that you need to point that service to the exchange service instead. I know this is how I have my Outlook Web Access, but its using a different port other than 80

yes, i need a pointer to my exchange server that ip is 192.168.1.4, because if i try to insert http:\\82.62.26.xxx\exchange in web browser it show "404 page not found" but the answer came from webserver of the router.

Just a thought; make sure that you can access OWA from another seat inside your internal LAN first. Once that is done and working the only thing you need to do it open port 80 on your firewall and pass requests to your exchange server.

Good Luck,

Steve.

yes but i'vnt understand how i can do it...
http:\\"pubblic ip"\exchange
or
http:\\"pubblic ip"\"private ip"\exchange

the pubblic ip is the ip of router

ok the first step work very well i can access to owa.
now i must open the 80 port on the router?
but in the webserver of router i'vnt see that that it's possible...

i've make also the port forwarding on the 80 port but the error message is the same 404 page not found

You must forward port 80 to the INTERNAL IP address.
How depends on the brand of router.

The manual is here: ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Broadband/dsl504T/Manual/DSL-504T_manual_07142005.zip

It should not be that hard. Try figuring this out yourself which will increase the learning curve ;-)
