I have to make a small change to all of our exchange records. (Add Company Name and Address). And I don't want to do this by hand.
Is there any object to let me get to our Exchange database of all our mailboxes, or even the master address book?

Thanks, Gary

Use the Outlook object. This will give you access to contact folders and address books.

Thank you.. I'll look at that. I gurss I have to have all permissions?

I have not experienced permission errors whilst using the Outlook object to access public folders. If the folders are public, then I do not think you will have a problem. Also I have always been logged in with administrator priviledges, so that may have been why I have not encountered problems before??????

Do I need to run the program on the server, or can I run it from my w98 workstation?

Using the object, you have to create a namespace and then open folders from within the namespace, so I think you are safe to run this on a client.

I looked it up in MSDN. I found namespace and a short tutorial on the Outlook 98 Object.

Thanks Simon, I'm going to try this now.

It will not let me get to the information I want.
I can change the person's name, but I want to get to his other properties like his company's name and address, etc.

Himmmmmm.....

There is no way to get to the exchange mailbox information except the mailbox name itself. I needed to fill in the company name and their position in the company, etc. I hand entered all of the info. because I ran out of time.

Thanks to everyone for their help.
