We are currently experiencing issues when trying to backup our Exchange Mailboxes from Backup Exec [v8.6]
When the Exchange backup tries & fails to backup our MS Mailboxes, the Backup Exec Job Server service is stopped & jobs that are queued behind it fail to run due to the stopping of the service........
The problem has only arisen after apply the latest MS Patches/Service Packs to each of our Exchange Server [4.0] & Backup [W2k] Servers
Exchange Server > Update 823023
Backup Server > Update 823718 [MDAC]
> Update 823718 [MDAC]
> Update 822925 [IE6 SP1]
The service is not stopped, however, if we choose to backup only the MS Exchange Directory + Information Store, excluding the Mailboxes
If anyone has any information/workaround for this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.......
[We have currently setup a scheduled task to re-start the service after the Exchange backup runs to allow the remaining queued jobs to run]
