Ms Exchange 2000 service not getting started

All the services is not getting started.Iam using exchange for internal as well sending and reciving mail from outside . The error i get in the event viewer is "the MS Exchange information store service depends on the ms echange system attendant service which failed to start because of the following error:%%0"

Please let me what is to be done to restart the services
