I had to reupdate MS Exchange 2000 on a server to correct a MAD Monitoring thread problem. This fixed that problem however now I have the following errors come up in my events log and users can receive message but not send messages out or reply to them.

Event Id: 5774
Registration of the DNS record "#####.msdcs.rmrg.com 600 IN CNAME server.rmrg.com. failed with the following error:
"DNS RR set that ought not exist, does exist."

After researching I am gathering that I still need to do more changes after the update to avoid these messages and get the SMTP working again. How can I "fix" this problem. Been looking at MS but can't seem to find instructions. I find I get a fast response when I use this method. Thanks for any info!
