One of the users in my department had their Default File Location set to a share drive. The server was changed and now that share drive no longer exists so whenever he tries to change anything in the Tools > Options area, he gets an error saying it cannot access that directory and it won't allow him to change to the General Tab to change the Default File Location.

Anybody have any ideas other than a reinstall of Excel?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe trying to open a blank document, attempt to save it, and then Excel will do some other auto stuff to get that corrected? Or at least prompt you to take some action(s)?

Never mind, I was able to figure it out and fix it with a macro.

Thank you anyhow.
