Dear all,
I've a Excel 97 file content some of the numeric data, I try to type a "0" in the cell, it will not shown anything, but in the formula bar u will see a "0" inside; when I type any other numeric and alphabet it shown the exact string. I've try to format the cell / delete the cell / clear the cell format but it still happen. I want to see a "0" in the cell when I type "0".... what can I do?

Copy a blank cell from somewhere else, say A1000, and then enter a 0. The cell you are using may have an unusual format.

You could also try clicking tools / options, and make sure on the 'view' tab that 'zero values' is checked.
