hey i was just wondering how good you make a directory using python i have done the

import os
os.system("md my_dir&quot

but consider the following

dirname=raw_input(">&quot
import os
os.system("md ______&quot

how could i put the dirname variable in the black after md

try this instead of using os.system

>>> import os
>>> os.mkdir(dirname)
>>>
