Hi there

Does anyone know of an MS-DOS script that 'pulls' (i.e. copies) certain folders on machines on a network to one machine?

I need to backup everyone's email folders which are stored on their C: drives, copy them to one of our servers, then back them up to tape.

We're using Windows NT 4.0 as our network OS, and the workstations are a mix of NT 4.0 and Win2000.

Thanks
ZK

You can use copy if you only want one file or xcopy for a whole directory.
Example:
Xcopy /s /e c:....\*.pst f:.....*.pst

Could I ask why you want to copy the folders to the server and then back them up? Why don't you just point the backup software to the remote folders?
