MS-DOS Applications run too slow in win XP

Hi! I have some clipper 5.0 apps developed on MS-DOS, when I open two or more sessions and want to use for example also
word or excell or any other windows' program, it run too slow.
I see on the task manager that cpu % uses 90% or more.
Can it be fixed with some configuration?

Buddy all you need is to download tamedos from Tamedos.com it will fix your problems. I have it on my XP for dos and even editing dos files you can tell difference.
