I created and manage an Access 2003 database that is used by 2-3 people in our office. One user had a nasty crash that appears to have corrupted the db in the process.

The compact & repair feature says that it cannot repair the file and that it must be re-created or restored from a back-up.

The current back-up is a week old and I really hate to have to re-do all of the work.

Is there any way to get to the table information or are there any fixes out there that may help salvage this?

Your help is greatly, greatly, greatly appreciated. [medal]

Try this:

Create a new blank db and import everything from the old one.

It may or may not fix your problem, but it doesn't do any more harm and it's quick.

Good luck,

Perhaps this will help: Microsoft® Access Database Corruption

Thanks to both for the help...

The "Microsoft® Access Database Corruption" link had what I needed. The database was complete toast but I was able to salvage data using Excel & MS Query.
