Microsoft is buying GeCAD Software Srl. They may plan on putting it into Longhorn.

A possible return to the undocumented API wars?

With MS having created several Anti-Virus API's for Office and Exchange, will they give in to the temptation to make their product work faster/better by creating undocumented API's?

Be interesting to see how this shakes out. I tend to fall in the camp of spreading my eggs out over several baskets; on the other hand, this would be a great addition to a product like SBS, or as an add on service like they're doing with Win2003Server.

MS has already decided to pull RAV (made by GeCAD) from the market. According to some this as one of the best Linux AV's on the market.
