MS AntiSpyware (Beta) switches off XP Firewall 1

Why does AntiSpyware (Beta) turn off the XP firewall and this cannot be switched on again?

Hi, I have anti-spyware and the windows firewall both enabled. Never seen your issue.

You may want to reapply SP2 and see what happens

This issue can occur if the MS-Antispyware product has to remove nasties in your LSP stack.

It is not unheard of as an issue, and quite frankly is an issue with several anti-malware removal tools.
