I want to know what is the best procedure to do backups of MS Active Directory. Every time I do a backup the server (MS Active Directory Server) reboots.

backupserver: Sun Solaris Networker 6.0.2
MS Active Directory : Networker 6.1

To my knowledge, there is only one procedure for backing up Active Directory. It is part of the SYSTEM STATE save set, so is backed up if you use All or specifically call out SYSTEM STATE. If that is what you are doing and you are having your system reboot, I would open a sev 1 case with Legato immediately. The only other thing I would say is that generally the recommendation is that the server be equal to or higher than the client, which is not so in your case.

Cheers
