our environment consists of Windows 2000/windows 2003 servers, exchange 2000 server (1). Windows 2000/XP clients
we are in the process of demoting an old Domain Controller, this DC was our first DC in the domain when we migrated from NT4 to Win2k infrastructure. All roles have now been transfered to a new DC, the only role left on the server is DNS (secondary).
Now, when we create a new account in active directory, we get the error found in the attached file.
any idea what is causing this issue? i've reviewed the Exchange configuration, but i cant find any dependencies on this server...if other DC's are on the LAN, the exchange should pick it up when creating the account?...i am stomped!!
Dam...guess i cant attach a file in these posts...grrr...
the error is
THERE IS NO SUCH OBJECT ON THE SERVER
