MS Access to VB or other exe format

Does anyone know of any conversion packages which will convert all forms, macros, modules and report objects from MSAccess to another language which cant be compiled and distributed as an executable.

I have already separated the data table objects into a separate mdb; and may in fact convert them to SQL, but I am having serious response time problems running MSAccess over a Novell network.

When the Access front end queries the Access data you are fetching all the records across the network in order for the front end to identify the ones required. Migrating everything to a new environment does not resolve this problem.

What you need to do is move the data to SQL Server say. You then need to modify the application so that queries are run at the server by using SQL views, or Stored Procedures or Access Pass-Through queries. That way the only network traffic is for the specific data the user requires.

You should also ask yourself whether your tables have the right indexes to allow information to be found quickly. Queries will run slowly if you have a full table scan.
