Hello,
I have an MS Access database as the front end and SQL Server is its backend with some data in the tables.

There are some word documents given to me which need to be created as reports.

I should create some buttons on the Access, which when clicked should open the reports.

I know how to do that BUT the requirement is such that they want the reports in such a way that when they click a button to open a report, the report should open in a word format so that if they want to make any changes, they can, and then print them out.

Is there a way to do this????

In-short my question is: can we open the MS Access reports in word format on single click????

Hope you all understood.

Please help me...

Thanks and Regards
Vik

What is achieved through automatic conversation to Word isn't of much use, I think.

But, I just have to comment that it does seem like it defeats the purpose of having a database system, when/if operators are supposed to be able to change the values so that they differ from what is stored, but that's grumpy old me :)

Anyway, what I've done, is to use mail merge, where I've pretty much adopted Albert Kallals "super easy merge" - see - which is very good for one record per document mail merge stuff :)

Then, Stephen Lebans has created some routines that are supposed to be able to export reports to rpt, which can be altered in Word - but I have never tried them, but do take a look at
Anyway, there's at least 7 fora on this site dedicated to Microsoft Access, I'd suggest posting further inquiries in one of those, I'd say either forum705 or forum181 might be more relevant with regards to such Access to Word automation or similar information.
