I have a database in access that have a field that you can add objects like excel, word, txt, html etc. When I'm in the database I can insert the objects, see them and update them.

However, this database is share with other people but when they access the database they can not add objects to the field. When they tried it, the access database "locked".

Can anyone tell me the problem? It does not make sense.

Guidance wil be helpfull.

Have you set the default open mode to "shared"?

I have great faith in fools; self-confidence my friends call it.

genomon - The database default is open mode "shared". Other thoughts or suggestions.

It sounds like you have multiple users opening the same mdb file. Have you split your database into a front-end, back-end setup? If so, does each user have a separate copy of the front-end?
