I am well-versed in a PHP/MySQL implementation on my Linux webserver, but I have recently seen the need to get ASP and Access DB support on that server as well. I guess I will be purchasing something like Sun's Chili!ASP software to handle the ASP functionality, but I am not quite sure I understand how to get database connectivity to an Access database file (like blah.mdb) on that server. I have researched using unixODBC to give me the ODBC connectivity support I need, but I fear that the component I am missing in this puzzle is a unix implementation of the Microsoft Jet Engine, or the DAO, or whatever, for that ODBC driver to communicate with.

It is not currently an option to host the Access database on a remote windows server and access it using the ODBC bridge driver, but I have researched this as another possibility. I really need to have it all on this one machine.

Please, can someone tell me what I am missing in this, and where I need to go/buy what I need to provide the Access database support on my unix server. THANK YOU!
