MS access is adding 2 zeros after the decimal during export

I have a query that pulls from a table. This table has a field that has ID numbers but the type of field is text. When I export the field through an export specification that does fixed width. For some reason the preview looks good, but several of the fields that are all marked as type text still get a decimal and 2 zeros added to the numbers. What's the problem?
