MS Access forms disappearing

I have a MS Access 2003 database whose forms have suddenly disappeared. I've tried re-importing, dragging and dropping, and even creating a new form, but nothing displays in the forms window, even after closing out and reopening it. The only thing I can think of is that someone was using MS Access 2007. Would that have anything to do with it? How can I fix this?

A form object has a property called "Hidden." You can expose such objects by going to options and selecting "show hidden." That's all I can think of, and it doesn't fit what you've said honestly. Since you're rebuilding anyway, Have you tried making a new database? And do you have an old back-up you use to see if forms will drag into the new database, and seem to stay there?

From the File menu, select Properties and look at the Contents tab. Anything there?

We're not rebuilding in Access 2007 (too many databases - the vast majority of which are read-only databases for querying from SQL Server with a MS Access front end, but that's another matter). I've even tried dragging and dropping from a backup, but it didn't seem to work. Also, these forms aren't hidden (I just tried showing hidden objects). They seem to be deleted.

For now, I just copied a backup from a few months ago to replace the forms. I still don't know what caused this error (and I'm suspecting MS Access 2007).
