When loading an .mde from an Icon in Access 97, I am getting the following error:
Microsoft Access can't change the working directory to
'::{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}.'

Verify that the drive is valid and the path is 260 characters or less in length.

Any suggestions as to what is causing the problem ?

Hi

Check the properties of the shortcut, to ensure working directory exists Regards

if you go to tools, options, general you can check in the default database folder is the working directory the one you want it to be.
It's a bit like default file locations in Word.
Is your database split, sometimes if you move the back or the front end Access gets in a tizzy.
