I have three subforms on a form. On each subform users make selections asking for access to our server/shares and programs. Sort of requests forms. For each request subform there is a Selection Dropdown populated from a list. This sets a value in the underlying table. There is also a "Done" check box on each subform, from the underlying table. I have set conditional formating on the Selection Dropdown. The coditions are set to monitor the "Done" checkbox that is set to tri level. If it is checked the dropdown text shows green. If it is not checked it would be blue. If it is null the text shows red.

This works fine on 2 out of the three subforms. I have checked and re-re-re checkd the setup and I cannot get the dropdown to change colors.. So, I made the underlying control...the one populated by the dropdown, visable. I set the conditional formatting for it...and it works. But I still can't get the dropdown to show the colors based on the conditional formatting.

Does anyone have experience with this issue.

Thanks in advance.

Try the following and see if anything happens. On the enter event (or got focus) of the combo put the following.
Me.dirty = false
me.refresh
me.repaint

if that works see if me.repaint works by itself. If this works then you can move the code to the after update of the checkbox.
