I have MS Accesss 2003 on one computer in a local office
network:DSL box
now I want to add 2 users for using the database program.
the computers have firewall and anti-virus (norton)

this is my first time.
how do I allow remote access for the other two computers
to use the database?
database has front end and backend
first time, trying to understand firewall permission. port..
I know enough to be dangerous to myself.

When you say DSL box for network... you're saying that's how the office connects to the web? What about the router? You do have a router, correct? If not, get one of those first, then you can worry about the routing.

What you need to do is share the data folder on the main computer.
Map drives to the \\computername\sharename on the other computers.
open the database from the share.
