MS ACCESS 2000: I have a Report already set up. I wish to select a single record from a table. This causes the data from the record to fill in the correct areas on the Report.

Using the Properties box, I’ve set the report up with the Filter “On” so I can select the ID from the Table, thus giving me the correct record to Print.

I set the filter up using this format: [ID=] and when the Report starts, a pop-up window comes up that asks “ID?” When I enter any number, it always returns the FIRST record in the table.

Did I set up the Filter query incorrectly? Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Might be a dumb question, but is [ID] a field in the report's query/table source?

Hi,
I wrote an FAQ on how to use filter. You can find it at: faq703-2657
